Paediatric Dermatology

Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, and the age limit usually ranges from birth up to 18 years of age.

Dr John Relic and Dr Sally de Zwaan are experts in paediatric dermatologic medicine. With years of experience and the latest treatment methods our specialists diagnose and treat all paediatric skin conditions. Some diseases that affect the skin, hair, or nails are more common in children whilst some of these diseases only occur in children. Dr Alicia Thornton will be assisting Dr Relic and Dr de Zwaan with their paediatric patients.

Conditions commonly found in children include but are not limited to:

  • atopic dermatitis (eczema)
  • nappy rash
  • birthmarks (port wine stain, haemangioma, stork bite, Mongolian spots)
  • seborrheic dermatitis
  • heat rash
  • neonatal and infantile acne
  • milia cysts
  • psoriasis
